Anjeli Singh, the founder of Hureo and a UX researcher, has worked with companies in North America and India including Google, Kodak and Symantec. At Hureo, she and her team are working towards humanizing technology. She works with start-ups to MNCs to focus on their users and bring empathy in the technology world. Enabling companies in various domains and the clients include Tata Industries, Wikipedia, Forbes Marshall, The Times Group, MakeMyTrip, Aditya Birla Health, etc. A keen User evangelist, she regularly speaks and hosts discussions and conducts workshops.

Building and designing products becomes challenging when it’s hard to pin the user. We look at a few field experiences to understand how designing industrial goods presents a unique challenge for designers against design of consumer goods.
Dr. Shantam Shukla, a strategy and innovation management professional, is a Fellow (PhD) of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad where he did his doctorate in Business Policy. Currently, Shantam is with Forbes Marshall as Lead Innovation Officer for the group, where he is responsible for making innovation as the bedrock for future growth plans of the firm. He has worked across diverse industries such as ITES, Automotive, Education and Manufacturing. He is a member of Innovation Task Force of CII – Western Region, India and also delivers academic sessions in the field of management particularly on subjects of strategy, entrepreneurship and innovation for students at IIM as a visiting faculty. His research has been published and presented at leading academic platforms.

An attempt to unravel the enigma of why stories appeal to the human mind.
Dr. Sherline Pimenta K, is the Master Storyteller at Kathanika, her passion is to explore how people make sense of the world around them. Her interests include narrative studies, experience design, communication design and visual language. Sherline received her Ph.D. in 2011 from IIT Bombay. Her doctoral thesis entitled ‘Moment and Moments: Discourse in Static Visual Narratives’ explores how stories (written or oral) are communicated through static images using the structuralist perspective. Sherline’s other interests include design thinking, mythology, culture studies, people behaviour (psychology, sociology, philosophy) and art history.

How the application of design research in usability has influenced modern-day designs.
Nikhil Verma, founder and director of NCube, is a Design research professional with a demonstrated history of working in the Industrial design and Automotive design industry. He set up NCube in 2012, since then working on various design projects in Hongkong, Japan and Mainland China. With NCube we mostly work with manufacturers from Southeast Asia in the development of electric vehicles, mostly two-wheelers. We are collaborating with a lot of startup companies here in India working in the area of electric vehicle development.
