Intern Diaries: How did a fashion enthusiast with a Bachelors in Design Degree land up in User Research at Hureo?
August 27, 2021Imagine turning a corner of your work space into a bouldering wall. Not something you hear everyday, right? On 16th August 2021, we at Hureo, inaugurated our very own Bouldering wall, a concept to bring enjoyment at work.
This idea was initiated by our founder, Anjeli Singh, who is passionate about rock climbing. Her idea of bringing the bouldering wall in a UX research agency was to motivate her employees, with an activity which can be a stress buster after a long day of work and a great exercise.
Anjeli got together with Guardian Giripremi Institute of Mountaineering (GGIM) to build the wall for us here at the Hureo office. GGIM was launched in 2015 with the main purpose of promoting adventure training. This was assisted by an architectural firm Studio AsA, which helped in the designing of the wall.
At the inaugural, we were graced by the presence of Mr. Bhushan Harshe, head of operations(GGIM), he has summited the Mount Everest (2013), Mr. Vivek Shivade, head of content and syllabus development, who was administering the process of our bouldering wall and Dr. Sumit Mandale, medical officer & chief instructor, who instructed us how to climb and fall!
Here is a video tour of the inaugural day so you don’t miss out on the fun!
The office space, as seen in the video is designed by Studio AsA, an architectural firm based in Pune.
Mr. Bhushan walked us through the entire process of climbing, Do’s and Don’ts and precautions we need to take. Mr. Vivek and Dr. Sumit shared their experiences with us, about climbing, the routes they discovered and how they named those as well.
This wall, just like our Hureo Social event, is something out of the ordinary that we plan on doing as time moves forward. We look for fun inclusive activities, for our clients as well as our employees.
